Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah will arrive here today on a one-day visit with a heavy official and political agenda.
Issues pertaining to the proposed alliance between the Congress and the Praja Rajyam of Chiranjeevi and the impending Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting to elect a new leader in place of YS Rajasekhara Reddy will come up for discussion during Rosaiah’’s meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
He is also likely to brief her about the party’’s efforts to wrest the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.
Rosaiah will also meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Central ministers to apprise them about the situation in the state and the need for further assistance.
The State Government has already submitted a report to the Centre on the estimated loss/damage of about Rs 12,824.70 crore caused by floods.
