Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan Wednesday evening apologised on behalf of his entire family for the controversy after his wife Jaya Bachchan’s alleged anti-Marathi remarks.

Expressing “pain and regrets” at events of the past four days, Bachchan termed Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray – who had criticised Jaya Bachchan and sought apology – as his “brother”.

He was interacting with mediapersons after his return from London Tuesday midnight following a shooting stint abroad.
