A call threatening of a bomb in a commercial hub of Agra created a panic Monday but it turned out to be a hoax.

The police spent several hours combing and scanning a multi-storey building in the Sanjay Place looking for a bomb that the hoax caller said had been planted in the Vrindavan Apartments.

A bomb disposal squad joined the search and the police questioned people. However, no explosives were found.
