Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s wife, Cherie, is battling the swine flu virus, and as a result, has been forced to cancel a string of public engagements.
She was diagnosed with swine flu on Tuesday, The Sun reports.
Doctors have given her a course of Tamiflu.
The barrister has cancelled her diary engagements including receiving an honorary degree from Liverpool’’s Hope University yesterday. A staff barbecue has also been dropped.
Tony Blair has not picked up the virus, or their four children.
Cherie, 54, is expected to recover by Monday.
