cricket1 Collingwood named England captain for world T20 meetPaul Collingwood returned as England captain for the ICC World Twenty20 to be held at home after leading the side in the inaugural edition in South Africa twoyears back.

With Test and ODI captain Andrew Strauss standing down from selection, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) appointed Delhi Daredevils player Collingwood as captain less than a year after he handed over the reigns of leading the England one-day side.

National selector Geoff Miller said he had a chat with Collingwood and he was keen for the captain’s armband.

Collingwood on his part said he was looking forward to leading England again.

The injured Andrew Flintoff was selected in the 15-man squad that was announced on Saturday. He had to undergo a key hole surgery in his left knee following injury during the Indian Premier League.

Paul Collingwood (captain), James Anderson, Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Andrew Flintoff, James Foster, Robert Key, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Eoin Morgan, Graham Napier, Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah, Ryan Sidebottom, Graeme Swann, Luke Wright.
