Facebook has introduced a site browser that would be helpful to the members use their login credentials to acess other networking portals.
This is called “Connect.” The system was first announced in May 2008. With this site browser now facebook will be facing challenge form the rival networking site, such as MySpace. This networking site has similar system.
Web 2.0 is changing in fast pace and all the sites are keen to ensure that they do not become a place that members go but are the only place they have to go as they can use their login information to get at content anywhere else.
By making a social site an all-encompassing portal, the hope is that they will become more attractive to advertisers.
The built-in socialising tools on sites such as MySpace and Facebook will mean that friends can virtually gather.
