India thumped Australia by 172 runs to win the four-match Test series 2-0 and lift the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Nagpur on Monday. 
The Australian squad tottered at 206 in just 50 overs with Mathew Hayden as their top scorer while all the other key performers remained insignificant on the final day of the Nagpur test match.
The two maverick spinners of India, Harbhajan Singh and Amit Mishra remained the top bowlers with both taking four and three wickets respectively.
Ishant Sharma contributed by seizing two wickets.
With this match, Sourav Ganguly will retiring from Test Cricket.
