HCL has announced the availability of laptop series 39 in the Indian markets.
It is compatible with both Microsoft and Linux operating systems. Its features are up to 4 hours of battery life, 14.1-inch widescreen, the ability to consume below 1.7W of energy in sleep mode and below 1W in stand-by mode.
This series has developed under its “Design for India” program. HCL Leaptop Series 39 has cleared all the tests to meet the Indian conditions. It is said that the latest range of laptops from HCL can withstand five feet drop and the multiple environment stress under extensive heat, humidity and voltage stress conditions.
Rajendra Kumar, Executive Vice President, HCL Infosystems revealed, “With the trend of computing devices moving towards notebooks we realized that there is a need for notebooks that are designed to meet the varied requirements and mode of usage of the Indian market. One of the key parameters in the Indian context is the thermals and the temperature difference between the left and right palm rest surfaces of your notebook.
HCL has also revealed a wide range of Leaptops, namely the Z35 series, the series 28 & 24, “MTV Edition” and HCL MiLeap series.
The Centrino version of HCL Leaptop Series 39 carries a starting price Rs. 39,900, the Centrino2 model carries a price tag of Rs. 42,990. It is available at all HCL DigiLife stores and other HCL retail outlets across India.
