It’s time to be the witness of Martin Luther King Day celebrations, as it’s being planned at Essex High School. he third annual “Essex Celebrates Martin Luther King Day” community dinner will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, according to the reports.

This time, speakers Michael Townsend, executive editor of The Burlington Free Press, and Sharon Pitterson-Ogaldez, assistant director of the University of Vermont apartments and family housing, will reflect on Martin Luther King’s legacy.
The theme of this year’s community dinner is “A Dream Realized,” the report said.
The Essex Celebrates Martin Luther King Day Committee was established three years ago to celebrate important ideals of social justice, peace, nonviolence, community, and activism inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Remembering Rev. Dr. King, Jr. birthday on the 15th of January, last week while speeking to a second grader about MLK Jr. birthday. He asked, “what was the “King” name? I repeated Martin Luther King, Jr. He replied, “no the King’s name” I realized he didn’t associate “King” to be Martin Luther’s last name but a King!
