Mumbai, Jun 15 (PTI) Private domestic air-carriers today said they would take a call on fare revision only after evaluating the impact of over 12 per cent hike in jet fuel prices by oil marketing firms, while the state-run Air India said it would “wait and watch.”
“It is too early to say anything… we will evaluate (the impact) before taking a call on the issue,” a Jet Airways spokesperson told PTI here.
Vijay Mallya-owned Kingfisher Airlines spokesman said, “we are examining the latest hike in ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) prices and will take a view shortly.”
“Ours is a wait and watch policy,” Air India Chairman and Managing Director Arvind Jadhav said.
After two minor price hikes, state-run oil firms today raised jet fuel or ATF rates by over 12 per cent on firming international oil prices.
“Ideally the fares should increase.. but we will judge the market.
