Music maestro A R Rahman made history by becoming the first Indian to win Golden Globe award for his music score for much acclaimed movie Slumdog Millionaire. He was named for the at the prestigious award ceremony on Monday.

‘Slumdog’ is based on a novel name Q&A by Indian diplomat Vikash Swarup and stars Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in lead among others.
The film has been shot at various locations in Mumbai, including the railway Victoria Terminus, which was targetted by terrorists on November 26, last year.
The film which depicts the story of a Mumbai underdog’s rags-to-riches run, is on a winning spree and has so far bagged three Golden Globe awards — Best Original Music Score for Rahman, Best Screenplay for Simon Beaufoy and Best Director for Danny Boyle.
