Sachin Tendulkar’s return and Rahul Dravid’s recall mean a lot has changed in the collective first-impression of the squad that will play the tri-series in Sri Lanka and later the Champions Trophy in South Africa.

The inclusion of the two 36-year-old batsmen saw the average age of the team go up by a couple of years as compared to the one that toured the West Indies more than a month ago.

Just a couple of alterations in India’s ODI squad announced on Sunday saw a major statistical shift and significant surge in star power.
