Jaipur: Voting took place at the RCA Academy two high profile persons — Union minister C P Joshi and IPL chief Lalit Modi —fought for supremacy in the state’s cricketing body.
Modi reached the RCA academy with his private bodyguards at around 10.30 am. By 11 am, Congress MLA Raghu Sharma reached the venue and raised objections on the presence of Modi’s security personnel at the RCA premises where only media persons were allowed.
Unpleasant scenes were witnessed again when Modi along with his supporters made an exit from the premises after voting. The supporters of Joshi surrounded some of them and tried to manhandle them.
However, the police intervened and saw them off amidst heckling while the Joshi supporters directed their ire against the police. They alleged that some policemen manhandled them.
