Sanyo has come out with two waterproof standard HD camcorders named as DMX-WH1 and DMX-CA9.
DMX-WH1 camcorder’s attributes are 1.10 megapixel of resolution for photos, compatibility with HDMI/Composite video output, 3x optical zoom lens, 0.97 megapixel for video shooting, 1/6-inch CMOS sensor, NTSC/PAL and USB 2.0.
The features of DMX-CA9 are 9.02 megapixel of resolution, 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor, 5x optical zoom lens, support for Composite video output, 7.31 megapixel for video shooting and compatibility with USB 2.0.
Both DMX-WH1 and DMX-CA9 incorporate a 2.5-inch TFT color LCD display, up to 43 MB internal memory with an additional 32 GB SD/SDHC memory card support. DMX-WH1 can withstand 3m under water shooting while DMX-CA9 can be submersed to depths of 1.5m.
However there is no clarity on availability and pricing of Sanyo Waterproof Standard HD DMX-CA9 and DMX-WH1 camcorders.
