Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in several parts of country including National Capital Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan in northern India.
South peninsula, Deccan Plateau, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region are experiencing severe Heat wave conditions.
The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 44.2 degrees on Friday which is five degrees above normal.
Meanwhile, Delhi government has asked schools to close for summer vacation in the wake of extreme heat wave conditions.
