Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said assistant coach Brett Hawke would serve as acting men’s coach and co-head women’s coach Dorsey Tierney-Walker will run the women’s team while Quick, 65, seeks treatment.

“We’re currently in the process of looking for the best care possible to fight this,” said Quick, who joined the Auburn coaching staff in 2007. “I want to thank the countless individuals that have passed along their well wishes, thoughts and prayers.”
