Doctors who are working under Orissa Medical Service Association (OMSA) in the government hospitals in Orissa have deferred the strike for cease work for two months which was scheduled to begin today, following talks with the Government.

School students hospitalized because of food poisoning

Mumbai: After khichdi for breakfast, 18 students of Mhetre School, which comes under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, were hospitalized on last afternoon.
Out of the 18 students, six are on saline and were given antibiotic injections, while 12 were under observation.

Critical and in coma, Pravin Mahajan

Mumbai: After being admitted in Jupiter Hospital last Friday complaining of fatigue and severe headache, Pravin Mahajan, is suffering from a brain hemorrhage, is still critical and he continues to be in coma.

“Pravin has suffered an extensive pontine hemorrhage (brain hemorrhage). His condition is still critical and he is deeply unconscious,” the doctors said.

3 more deaths due to swine flu, 194 fresh cases

New Delhi: On account of swine flu, 3 more persons died and 194 fresh cases were reported nationwide, with Delhi topping the list. Delhi alone had 79 cases, followed by Maharashtra (33) and Uttar Pradesh (28).
