Hyderabad: In all, 37 MLAs belonging to TDP submitted their resignation to the Speaker protesting the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Reports say that Telugu Desam Party MLAs from Andhra and Rayalaseema will meet Assembly Speaker N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday morning to request him to accept their resignations.
They are protesting against the move to create a separate Telangana issue by carving out of Andhra Pradesh.
Telugu Desam Legislature Party deputy leader P Ashok Gajapati Raju said, “We are serious about our resignations and we will request the Speaker to accept them. We will take our resignations to the logical end.”
Similarly, the 10 party MLCs will also request the Legislative Council chairman A Chakrapani to accept their resignations, party sources said.
